When you check the box here to request a consultation, a VCTC representative will contact you to set up a one-on-one meeting at your work site. You’ll get the help you need to put and keep a rideshare program in place—from expert assistance identifying which rideshare options are best for your company to answers to your questions about surveying, ridematching and meeting air district mandates. Additional benefits are provided to members through the Internet at rideshareplus.info.    “Commuter Choice” benefits offer tax incentives to employers when they subsidize ridesharing and/or allows commuters to set aside pre-tax dollars for some commute expenses.    On-Line Ridematching   CommuteSmart’s database of more than a quarter million people interested in carpooling or vanpooling is revolutionizing how employers run rideshare programs. Now it’s a breeze to match employees with rides! Just log on and plug in an employee’s home and work location and schedule. You’ll get a list of potential carpool partners, vanpools and convenient Park & Ride lots...automatically. There’s no easier, faster way to provide on-the-spot rideshare options to your employees. If you’ve conducted a transportation survey through VCTC in the past year, the rideshare records for all your employees are already included in our database. As an employer, you can also use CommuteSmart’s ridematching tool to view your rideshare program records and generate useful reports. You’ll need a user name and password before you can access your employees’ records. If not, remember to delete your information or your potential matches may contact you.  Transportation Survey Assistance   Need to survey to comply with the Air Pollution Control District’s Rule 211? By using our form you can meet the air district’s requirements, find carpools/vanpools for employees and enroll your coworkers in the free Guaranteed Ride Home Program—all using a single sheet of paper. Don’t want to deal with the paper? We have the only approved electronic survey available to Ventura County employers. You’ll also receive valuable products, including RideGuides and a Density Map (see below).  Density Map   A Density Map, which we generate based on your employee survey data, gives you a fast, visual snapshot of where your employees live so you can determine carpool, vanpool and transit opportunities.  RideGuides   From your survey data, we’ll create RideGuide commute planners for your employees who want them. These free guides give commuters carpool and vanpool matches based on where they live and work and their work schedule—plus rideshare-friendly information such as Park & Ride lot locations, a carpool lane map, details on employer incentives and more. There's no cost to your company and you’ll get all the materials you need to administer and promote the program as a benefit to your employees. We’ll send turn-key marketing campaigns so you can participate in events such as Rideshare Week and Bike to Work Day. VCTC also hosts the annual Diamond Awards each spring, recognizing outstanding rideshare programs in Ventura County. As an employer, you are encouraged to nominate yourself or a fellow company for a Diamond Award—nomination forms are available in February.  Publications   Our monthly regional newsletter CommuteSmart News will keep you abreast of rideshare news and events in Southern California. We also offer free brochures and other helpful guides. Every year we sponsor a transportation-themed poster contest at all schools in the county.
